a. In groups, decide on creative punishments for these crimes or offences.

1. An arsonist who sets fire to a local beauty spot, for example, a forest.
I would make him improve that forest and plant trees all over the area.

2. A 15-year-old who is caught drinking and smoking.
I would lock him in a room with alcoholics and smokers for an hour, so that he would understand what he would look like if he continued to smoke or drink.

3. Someone who parks illegally causing major traffic delays.
I would take his car from that area to the police station and fine him 200-500 dollars.

4. A group of teenagers who paint graffiti all over walls in a small town.
I would send graffiti artists to their houses, so that they would paint graffiti on the walls of these teenagers’ houses, so that these teenagers would know what bad thing they did. And I would make those teenagers clean their drawings with water and sponges.

5. A couple whose dogs bark incessantly and bother the neighbors.
I would warn them to keep their dogs in another place, and if all that happened again, I would keep the dogs under special control, and would fine that couple.

6. A young person who creates a computer virus which infects thousands of computers.
I would force him to delete that virus by himself and I would deprive him of all kinds of gadgets for 6 months.
